For the successful preservation of the Bayberry Community Association, it is essential that all households within the boundaries of the association pay their dues. Many ask what the dues pay for and what each individual household receives for their $10 annual dues.
The social aspects of the association shine through many times per year at the Halloween party/parade, Santa visit, cookie drive for local first responders, summer picnic, the occasional ice cream social, holiday decorating contest, and the occasional tree lighting. The association also includes the close monitoring of the Liverpool School District and the Town of Clay Town Board. The BCA has been and will continue to be a voice for the community at these two important entities. Meet the Candidates night is another important event for the community, sponsored by the BCA, to meet and ask questions of political candidates who make the decisions that affect our daily lives. All of these events are funded by our dues.
It is important for the BCA to collect dues from as many households as possible to maintain our operations which include our monthly meetings, now held in person, for any resident to attend to see the workings of the BCA and suggest new events, procedures, and ideas. Along with meetings, BCA dues also allow for the continuation of our monthly newsletter, The BCA News, now available online for easy access to everyone. Our website, https://bayberrycommunity.org/, is another dues funded entity that is important for our association and for the community at large.
The annual Spring/Earth Day Cleanup event is a great way to see the workings of the BCA also. This event benefits our whole community by cleaning up our section of the community, placing emphasis on our duty to give back and make our community a great place to live.
The BCA scholarship, awarded annually to a volunteer oriented high school senior who lives in the association neighborhoods, is another way the BCA gives back to the community. For a high school senior going on the college or trade school this scholarship is a great way to help out.
