We hope this message finds you and your families safe and well as we approach another wonderful holiday season here in Central New York. The impacts of the pandemic forced the Bayberry Community Association to explore new and exciting ways to celebrate the spirit of the season in 2020. For 2021, we are pleased to offer the following contests and events once again:
HOLIDAY HOME DECORATING CONTEST:
Our team of volunteer judges will review all nominees and award an overall grand prize of $100 to the home best capturing the holiday spirit. Additional prizes of $25 will be awarded to the best runner up homes in each area of Bayberry. The first round of judging will begin on December 17th and 18th. All previous winners are eligible for these great prizes! ANNUAL COOKIE DRIVE FOR CIVIC VOLUNTEERS:
For many years, Bayberry residents have come together with donations of baked goods for Northern Onondaga Volunteer Ambulance (N.O.V.A.) and the Moyers Corners Fire Department. With safety in mind, we are planning to deliver pre-packaged, store-purchased baked goods to their respective locations on Saturday, December 11th. If you are interested in making a monetary donation to this cause, you can visit our website at www.bayberrycommunity.org and go to the Donation link to pay online via PayPal. Be sure to note that your donation is for the cookie drive. You can also send a check made payable to BCA to PO Box 2184, Liverpool, NY 13089. Please send your donations no later than December 8th so we have time to shop for our amazing civic volunteers!
SANTA NEIGHBORHOOD DRIVE-THROUGH:
In lieu of doing in-home visits from Santa, we are once again partnering with the Moyers Corners Fire Department to have Santa ride through Bayberry on a fire truck to wave to residents and spread holiday cheer on Sunday, December 12th. Here’s a map of Santa’s route and approximate arrival times.
