JOIN US SUNDAY TO LEARN MORE OR VOLUNTEER TO HELP THE BCA CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FOR OUR COMMUNITY!

All Bayberry residents are invited and encouraged to join us for our January Board Meeting on Sunday, January 5 at 7:00pm at United Church of Christ (215 Blackberry Road).

We will be discussing and voting on changes to our organization. We are in need of people to help us at the organizational level in order to continue to function, provide support, and offer popular events to our community. These positions include officers, newsletter distributors, dues collectors, and behind the scenes coordinators. Due to a lack of volunteers over the past several years, the same small group of community members (approximately 12-15 individuals out of over 1,500 homes) have been trying to run and organize not only the “business” side of the BCA but also carry out 14+ events and activities throughout the year. We need help to keep going!

In an effort to make our organization run smoother, more efficiently and more cost effectively, we will be voting to convert our newsletter to an expanded digital format that will be available each month on our website, in addition to a small number of abbreviated printed newsletters that will be available for local pickup. This decision comes after collecting survey data over a 6 month period, where we found that a majority of participants prefer to receive their BCA news online. With a passing vote, a committee will be formed to discuss and implement the details of the change.

In addition, we will continue to discuss normal BCA business and upcoming events. If you are not able to attend but wish to volunteer, please email us at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
