In spite of the rainy cold day, the BCA Halloween Party at the Plaza was a big success. The Irongate community jointly sponsored this event along with the BCA. We had 91 kids who signed in and trick-or-treated at the merchants in the plaza. John Hunt and a fellow Ghostbuster joined us this year with their car and other props. This was arranged by Tri-R Management / the Bayberry Merchants Association who also made a donation to John who fundraises for Golisano Children’s hospital. We also collected $10 in donations to the BCA Scholarship Fund.

Thanks go out to Kristine Davoli, Sandy Fleming and Brianna Manning (a HS volunteer) for their assistance in helping the event run smoothly. Thank you to Tim Scott for being our photographer.

Thanks to our sponsors Dunkin’ Donuts, McDonald’s, Travel Leaders and Wegman’s for their generous donations. Also a big thanks to Tri-R Management and the merchants of the Bayberry Plaza for participating in our Halloween Party.

Cristina Kareem also put on a very well organized pumpkin decorating competition. The winner was a pink elephant with the stem of the pumpkin as the trunk!

This is a very fun event and we’re always looking for new ideas. If anyone would like to volunteer to help out next year, please contact Debbie Countryman at 315-652-5309 or [email protected].
