Clear Path for Veterans, based in Chittenango, is an all-inclusive community-based resource center that partners with local businesses and organizations to connect service members and their families to the resources they need, and provide them with in-house non-clinical programs to ensure that our veterans are holistically supported in all of their physical and emotional needs. Honor Flight Syracuse, Inc. honors American’s veterans by transporting them to Washington, D.C. to visit the national memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. Its goal is to help every single war veteran in the greater Syracuse area, willing and capable, to obtain a flight or bus trip to visit their memorial at no cost to them. The Corporal Kyle R. Schneider Foundation was formed in honor of a fallen United States Marine from Baldwinsville who dedicated his life to serving his nation and community. The foundation focuses on families of fallen members of the armed forces and returned heroes. Initiatives include prayer shawl ministries to survivors, support of annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors at C.W. Baker High School (Cpl. Schneider’s alma mater), assisting in providing therapy dogs to military heroes, care packages to service members in combat zones and assistance to wounded warriors.
